How To Starve Cancer The Perfect Gift of A Book

Talking about any dreaded disease is not fun, especially during the holidays. yet what if you could stop a host of diseases just by giving a gift of one very important book. You can. Jane McClelland's part how to , part memoir How To Starve Cancer (Agenor Books 2021) is the book to give this Christmas along with being a book that should be in every home library.

Ms. McClelland herself is a powerhouse , able to starve her own Stage 4 cervical cancer that metastasized to her  one lung. if she had gone the traditional route of chemo and radiation she would have been dead after six weeks of the initial diagnosis. She fought back. The first three hundred and eight pages are dedicated to her life with the disease. Despite it she married a brilliant and cute man and created her own line of all natural bath products with an appearance on the British version of Shark Tank, Dragon's Den.  She never gave up her beloved sailing  which took her to the South Coast of England and her beloved isle of Guernsey. She did not give up on her boat racing or being a mom . She had two sons through surrogacy (the eldest even had a talking role on the international hit Call The Midwife!!!). what is amazing about Ms. McClelland is that she will not give up on herself while battling the snooty patriarchal attitude of the NHS. It's not as kind as it's portrayed as on movies and TV. She had to dig and research, even acting as a guinea pig for treatments established medicine scoffed at.

The second part of the book is geared to how to kill cancer and reboot the immune system.  The book ends with the description of the Ferroptopsis Protocol which is using iron to starve and kill cancer. There are no recipes in the book to help the diet along. Ms. McClelland a licensed  Chartered physiotherapiust, in the UK,only gives suggestions about what to eat and what to avoid. Hopefully there will be a future book of recipes that families can use. Glucose which definitely feeds cancer cells is off the table. If you think you can replace those sweet treats with fruit, think again. She nixes grapes and pineapple, fruits that are pure sugar. Berries such as strawberries and antioxidant rich blueberries are allowed and encouraged but only in small quantities. Even veggies like asparagus are  off the table along with any grain products like bread and white rice. Opt for whole wheat loaves and brown rice instead. She also recommends being on a mostly  pescatarian diet , rich in Omega 3. Think salmon dishes. Also drink a lot of green tea and bottled water. There are also supplements that help in starving and killing cancer. She is a huge believer in intermittent fasting which is a big boost to eradicating the disease.

How To Starve Cancer is a must give book. It can help with nor only snuffing out cancer but also lower diabetes and heart disease. It is a gift that keeps on giving.

Festive Chickpeas A Crunchy Healthy Snack

It is hard to find a snack that's good for you and good for your taste buds. Luckily there is one, Festive Chickpeas that fit the bill. These are great , delicious snacks that can be eaten at home or on the run.

One of my favorite beans is the chickpea. They're phenomenal in a summer salad or added to pasta sauce. Dried ones, which are the best ,are usually sold at Italian festivals only held in September. These are the best They are crunchy and salty, the perfect snack. Luckily Festive has come along and not only given us sea salted dried butter flavored chickpeas but ones that are ranch flavored along with honey barbecue, sour cream and onions, and two kinds of spicy, mild and fire hot.  The flavors are not so overpowering. You can still taste the chickpea's unique nutty sweetness and the extra seasoning complements them. They come in one ounce and two ounce bags. They're the perfect lunchbox or picnic snack but also would make a fun stocking stuffer too.

I like these for so many reasons. They have a good crunch and the flavors are  tasty. I can even see Festive Chickpeas in a salad, giving it some oomph and zing. There are other pluses too. The chickpeas are non GMO and there are no preservatives. Also chickpeas are chock full of manganese. You can also eat a handful of any of the Festive kind and feel full. No need to eat  a bowl of them. Chickpeas also help regulate blood sugar and promote brain health. Chickpeas in general help lower Type Two diabetes, cancer  and heart disease. Imagine any other snack doing that!!

Switch over to Festive Chickpeas if you want a healthy good for you, crunchy snack. They are perfect nibble for binge watching or a great side to a fall picnic. Try all their flavors for a delicious and healthy alternative to chips and popcorn!!!!

Salmon- Is It Good Or Bad?

We all hear the plus side of eating salmon.Yet, surprisingly there is a down side to this healthy fish.It can be bad for you at times. What's the up side of this tasty dish? What's the bad side? Are there many benefits  - or just one or two?

Salmon is one of the most popular fishes to eat. Everyone love;s the rich flavor and the meaty flesh, which is more textured that most fish. It's also very versatile too. Salmon can be used as a main dish or added to a salmon. You can grill, char or broil it.The plus side of it it's good for strengthening your muscles as well as tissues. It is chock full of Omega-3 which will lower your cholesterol. It also is responsible for preventing the  eye disease macular degeneration. Eating salmon will improve skin tone as well as making your hair shiny. The fish is full of the necessary Vitamin D, which helps in preventing breast and prostrate cancers.

Yet  salmon, especially farmed can have a dark side. Fish raised in a contained environment can absorb PCBs,dioxins, dieldrin and toxaphene, Dieldrin is a banned pesticide that is easily soaked up by the fish .Why a pesticide is in a contained area  is puzzling, however it is there. Toxaphene again is another pesticide that still persists in the environment. Both it and dieldrin can cause liver, and kidney cancer. However the risks for these are small in comparison to the benefits. The best bet is getting wild salmon which costs a little more than the farmed but is trouble free.

Is salmon good or bad for you? Mostly it's good. The risks from chemicals are small and practically non existent if you buy the wild variety. It's a good food, excellent for your health as well as being just downright delicious. Don't stop eating it.
