CBDelicious A Different Kind Of Add In

Can your food make you mellow? Possibly. Certain flavors make us feel happy and comforted - hence comfort food. Yet can it make us feel mellow? Thanks to a new add in from CBDistillery , yes.

I decided to give this a try. After all this December is super stressful, thanks not only to the holidays but the sudden and deadly surge of Covid-19. Could I add just a pinch of hemp to my cooking to relax everyone? Why not? I decided to try CBDelicious, CBDistillery's latest product. The company is known for their tinctures, gels, gummies and topicals which don't turn you into an instant stoner. CBD oil helps with sleep along with pain and anxiety, the last we're all suffering from these days. It also helps with inflammation.

Their latest product comes in a small container.

It's an apricot colored powder with no taste so it can be easily be mixed into anything.
I put a pinch in my vegan celery soup, just to experiment.

The soup is one  of  my favoritse to make and eat.I did feel more relaxed afterwards however although that could be partially due to the wonderful blend of celery, onions and potatoes.
Again, CBDelicious would be better in a hot herbal tea around bedtime. Any product that can produce a relaxed feeling is better when it's  taken at night.

This holiday season will go beyond the usual stress of cookie baking and gift shopping. Add a pinch of CBDelicious in your beverages or favorite dishes just to cope. It's a good way of dealing with this month and life will give you.

Parma Vegan Parmasan Pure Cheesiness

Vegans and vegetarians have a hard time with cheeses. Most of the time they can be gummy and zero flavor. It's even worse when it comes to Parmesan cheeses. They can be tasteless, adding nothing to the dishes they're sprinkled on. Yet there's a new cheese out there that tastes like freshly grated Parmesan.

These are Parma, vegan Parmesan cheese that comes in the original and Garlicky Green flavors as well as Chipotle Cayenne and Better Than Bacon. The company is a subsidiary of Sister River Foods which features healthy produces for healthy eating. I love the Garlicky Green, chock full of  dried basil and dried oregano in it. it is delicious on gnocchi. I sprinkled it on a plate of the potato puffs and it really amped up the flavor of both their flavor and the sauce.

I plan on making a cannllini bruschetta with it (which will be posted) along with using the Original for simple farfalla or butterfly pasta soup. The Parma cheeses will also be good for pizzas too, especially the Chipotle Cayenne and the Better Than Bacon flavor for extra taste and zing.  I may even sprinkle some on popcorn for a good for you version of cheese corn. They do need to be refrigerated, although thanks to their great taste, will not be there for long. The  cheeses are made from nutritional yeast, walnuts sunflower and hemp seeds.

Vegan and vegetarians rejoice! Parma has given you four tasty cheeses that's perfect for Italian dishes and snacks. Try them today in your pasta or snacks.

CBD Teas The Latest Trend

CBD or cannabidiol is everywhere these days. It can be found in lotions, shampoos, edibles and now potables. CBD Living has added three flavorful loose leaf teas to its' long list of CBD products. Are they any special than regular loose leaf brands? Not really? Are they flavorful? Absolutely.

CBD Living manufactures a wide variety of CBD products. There the edibles which include milk and dark chocolate bars, tinctures, soaps, lotions and even suppositories. Their teas are loose leaf and , popular right now. They come in an array of flavors, from matcha to blackberry. I love tea so I had to try three flavors that appealed to me.

Their chai tumeric tea is the best chai I've had in a long while. The mix contains 150 mg of CBD (a cup has only seven All CBD Living's teas have this amount added) but also has turmeric along with organic ginger and cinnamon chips plus orange peel for a nice citrus aftertaste.

Another favorite is the coconut which is loaded with coconut shred and extract. It is blended with green Rooibis Tea and full spectrum hemp extract - which is the pure oil extracted from the hemp plant. It has a lovely tropical taste and the tea would be good iced on a hot summer's day

Another fruity flavor that not only soothing but delicious is the mango herbal tea. This drink has mango extract as its' top note flavor and organic dried peach as the bottom note which give the tea a bright, fruity flavor. As with the coconut there is also full spectrum hemp extract. Again this would be a great iced tea during the warmer months.Next on my list are their other teas - matcha , Berry Black and Passion Green.

CBD Living Loose Leaf Teas are the perfect antidote to today's super busy world. Brew them, and enjoy the rich flavor and the calming effect they have. It's like a vacation in a cup.

High Times For 2015 Hot Pot Cuisine

Some Americans will be adding more greens to their diet in the new year., No it's not about adding kale and Brussels sprouts  as suggested yesterday but marijuana. Yup, there's gonna be some pretty high times at the dinner or dessert table. As it's becoming legal and acceptable , it's also becoming an interesting ingredient at some restaurants and chef's tables,

The New York Times reported on this the other day. According to Food section reporter and chef, Kim Severson, two states, Washington State and Colorado have already legalized  recreational pot and now high end restaurants are following suit. These are not those hash brownies your college roomie made. This is haute high cuisine. Ganga Gourmet in Denver whips up a garlic bread that is not only tasty but will leave you wanting more. There's also a marijuana infused tomato sauce and a cannabis infused wing sauce. Prices aren't cheap. A pizza can cost $86 dollars, while a serving of cooked veggies is 12 dollars, which is about the price of a non pot side in some Manhattan eateries Diners must have medical marijuana cards in some cases.  Even though it's finely ground into a flour , it still can give eaters a mellow buzz and it can also boost appetites as we all well know.

Does marijuana have any nutritional value? Some dietitians do see it as a vegetable..Hemp is 100 per cent protein, and it is high (seriously no pun intended here) in Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids, similar to what's found in salmon. It is more valuable nutritionwise if it's heated where it releases what its known as cannabinoids. These act as cleaners and removed damaged cells from the body, while the raw state can improve the efficiency of body cells.Ground up raw buds can be added to salads, soups ,stews and even oatmeal. Cannabis butter can be made too  by adding 1/4 ounce buds to 1/2 stick salted butter (and it must be salted since that has a higher smoke point).Melt the butter in a saucepan over a low heat. Add the ground buds, a little at a time, to the melted butter.Stir occasionally and simmer for forty five minutes. Shut off when you see bubbles forming and then strain into a glass container. Press a spoon against the buds to release all the cannabutter. It will either be a chocolate brown color  (not unlike fudge) or green (like pesto) in color.Use at your discretion.

As marijuana becomes more and more legalized , there will be an expansion of high cuisine. Marijuana may be the next super food, thanks to its' composition. It just has to be widely accepted  to be truly considered a culinary treasure.
